If you have just received your VORTEX swim spa, please follow these steps before use:

STEP 1: Check that the delivery matches your purchase and write your serial # on your documents. The serial number can be found at the bottom right of the equipment panel.

STEP 2: With the swim spa in place, you must have the connection made by a certified master electrician.

STEP 3: Fill the swim spa as follows: Remove all filters from the skimmer and place the garden hose in the first hole near the massage seats. Ten (10) minutes later, move the garden hose to the second hole. Another ten (10) minutes later, move the hose back to the third hole (hole closest to the 3 swim jets) and leave it in place until completely filled.

STEP 4: The ideal water level is written with a mark on the frame of the skimmer (photo 1). Be sure to follow up properly when filling so that your spa does not overflow.

STEP 5: Do not put the filters back in place yet.

STEP 6: Power up the swim spa by operating the circuit breaker (GFCI) then go to the front panel where the motors are located. This will put you in context with the sounds of startup.

STEP 7: Do not touch the keypad for five (5) minutes since it is in the startup / programming process.

STEP 8: Check if the waterfall is working after one (1) minute. This is to make sure that the circulation pump, the smaller of the four, is primed. If so, the other three pumps will start one after the other. Once all three pumps have stopped, you can begin programming the keypad to your preference (date, hour, language, etc.)

STEP 9: If the chute near the skimmer does not work, you may need to loosen the circulation pump unions slightly to remove air from the plumbing. (Photo 2)

STEP 10: If everything works, replace the front panel by properly connecting the two white LED light wires.

STEP 11: Push the skimmer door outward then put all the filters back in place, starting with the circulation pump filter (photo 3). You have to be careful because if you do it too quickly, the waterfall may stop. If so, you will need to start over from step 10.

STEP 12: When all the filters are in place, you are at the stage of chemical water control.

STEP 13: Take a water sample and come for a free analysis of your water in store. You can also perform your water analysis by using the Test Strips. If you go with the Test Strips, follow the next steps.

STEP 14: You must balance the following 3 parameters: Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness and pH. In order to balance these settings, please drop your strip horizontally for 2 seconds in the water, then remove it and wait 20 seconds. Refer to the color code on the box to adjust your settings (see the photo at the bottom of the page).

In order to increase your Alkalinity you must use the Balance Pak 100 as directed.
In order to increase your Hardness you must use the Balance Pak 300 as directed.
In order to increase your pH you must use the Balance Pak 200 as directed.
If your water has a high pH you should use Lo 'N Slo as directed.

STEP 15: Once your water is balanced, you must add your assinissant, either chlorine or bromine.

CAUTION: Never throw chlorine or bromine tablets inside your swim spa, use a dispenser or container. Chlorine or bromine tablets can damage the acrylic.

STEP 16: Wait a minimum of 1 hour and repeat an analysis to make sure that the 4 parameters are well balanced.

GO FOR IT, YOU CAN NOW ENJOY YOUR SWIM SPA.
