Eye/Skin Irritation

 

What is it?

Eyes and skin can become irritated after spending time in the spa for various reasons. Out-of-balance spa parameters, specifically pH, can cause eye and skin irritation in soakers. A build-up of contaminants in water can also create chloramines (a chlorine smell) and contribute to eye/skin irritation.

How to remove contaminants:
 
  • Test water before adding product to ensure which factors need to be adjusted.
  • If pH need to be adjust, add Lo N' Slo®​ if pH is high or Balance Pak®200​ if the pH is low.
  • Add Spa Lite®​ to remove contaminants.
  • Add Polysheen® to enhance filtration.

How to prevent irritating conditions:
 
  1. Keep spa water balanced according to suggested parameters including pH.
  2. Use Filter Brite to chemically clean filter every 4-5 weeks.
  3. Use Spa Lite to oxidize​ water weekly to destroy contaminants.
  4. Always maintain appropriate sanitizer residual.
